The New York Liberty are one of the strongest teams in the WNBA, but they have not been as good as they used to be in the past week. Their only win in this period was a home win over the Dream, after losing to the Fever and Storm on the road, and also losing to the Mercury at home. The Liberty are currently tied with the Phoenix Suns for second place in the standings.

The Golden State Valkyries are the only new team in the WNBA this season, so they don't have a long history. That being said, they have never beaten the New York Liberty, although they came closer in their last game. They were beaten by 28 points in the first game, but lost by only 5 points in the second meeting. This will be their first home game against the New York Liberty. In the last game, the Golden State Warriors scored 21 points under the leadership of Kayla Thornton to help the team win over the Connecticut Liberty.

The Golden State Valkyries have been hot over the past few games, and the New York Liberty will likely see the return of Ionescu, which will bolster their offense, but they haven’t been in great form lately, and we’re backing the Valkyries to not suffer a crushing defeat.
